I'm not saying Minecraft is a stupid game and everyone who plays it sucks...... what i mean is its just blocks, bad quality like 16-bit and repetive although ALOT of people like it!, is it the gameplay that makes it fun?, does the graphics really matter to the gamers...?, Again im not saying its a bad game and its stupid, i'v seen amazing things people create in the game

It allows people to express their creativity, and because of its low hardware requirements and the option for a way to play without monsters and the like it is accessible to anyone.

The concept is simple but the possibilities are almost endless. The charm is not unlike Lego's. The aesthetics is the way it is deliberately, not because of technical limitations, so it doesn't matter as much as the gameplay (so you kinda answered yourself on that point).
Also, to be completely fair, the game is not finished yet. Things like quests, leveling, real mechanic tutorials, and end-game content are being developed by Mojang.

I tried playing it. I was in the world for a few hours and realized that I really wasn't happy and nothing that I did in the game would ever fill that hole inside of me that it had created. Yeah, I could spend days trying to make my lair complete within the rock of the mountain, but I'd much rather play a game with a plot and story.

1. Pretty much any computer can run it, so anyone can play.
2. Why do people play with Legos or wooden blocks? Because its fun to create stuff.
3. Its cheap. Buying it now will save you money in the long run when the final game is released.

i think everyone likes it cuz its so simple and the possibilties are not limited, you are able to build buildings to your imagination and to find all the tools/objects so its fun because its not complicated

Well, I love the game!
It's just that I played it over a year and I'm getting sick and tired of it.
The lag treats me like crap, and I can't stand the mods of it. Like you know, grand theft?
I still don't know why it lags.
I'm in survival mode, with zombies begging to kill me.
What's up with that?
The creepers explode in my face.
I'm so annoyed. What can I do?
I can't stop my fav good from 2012?
What the heck is going on?

The graphics aren't what make a game. Minecraft is an amazing sandbox game. Some people just don't have the creativity to play it I guess.  |
